Summary: The Gibson SG, famous for its comfortable, fast-action neck, is a perennial favorite among guitarists. Whether you’re chording down low or soloing up high, the distinctive rounded neck carve always feels right. The timeless hardware includes a classic-style Tune-O-Matic bridge and keystone tuners in addition to the Maestro Vibrola Tailpiece. The Maestro Vibrola offers smooth vibrato effects and the classic styling of the Lyre engraving on the tailpiece cover. The two Patent Number humbuckers sing, and they sit beautifully in the “full face” pickguard. The walnut finish on this instrument has aged handsomely.

Body: Mahogany with a nitro cellulose walnut finish.

Neck: Bound mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard, trapezoidal inlays, 1.761” nut width, 24.5” scale length, 22 frets.

Pickups/Hardware: Two Patent Number humbucking pickups (Patten No. 2,737,842), keystone tuning keys, full face pickguard, maestro vibrola tailpiece, two volume/two tone knobs, 3-way pickup selector.

Cosmetics: This guitar has wear that you would normally see for an instrument this age. It has beautiful checking in the finish. It has buckle rash on the back of the body. There are a few scratches and dents on the body and the headstock. Overall, this guitar is good shape and plays and sounds fantastic. (See Photos)
* The neck of this guitar was separated from the body and put back together with dowels. There is a crack that goes through the body near the input jack. * (See Photos)

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in good shape.
