Summary: The Fender Strat Plus was originally released in 1987 as an upgraded American Standard Stratocaster by adding Lace Sensor Gold pickups, locking tuners, and a roller nut. The Strat Plus Series was the highest-end production model next to Fender’s Custom Shop guitars.

Body: Double cutaway, gloss 3-tone sunburst finish.

Neck: Maple with a Maple fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 1.68750” nut width, 22 frets, black dot inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: Three Gold Fender Lace Sensor single coil pickups, master volume/2x tone controls/5-way pickup selector, Fender locking tuning keys, pearl pickguard, American Standard tremolo system.

Cosmetics: This guitar has light surface scratches and small indentations throughout. The back of the guitar has more scuffs and light buckle rash. The finish on the fingerboard has worn off around the dot inlays and around the frets on the 12th fret and up. The headstock has light wear around the edges and the back of the neck has a few indentations near the 3rd fret. The pickguard has regular wear. Overall, this guitar is good shape, it plays very well and sounds great.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
