Summary: Since its introduction in 1955, The Gibson Les Paul Special has faithfully served the working musician as a reliable, professional-quality electric guitar at an affordable price. The new Les Paul Special Pro continues this tradition by offering ample bang-for-the-buck; packing more value than ever into this iconic workhorse. Key features of this Les Paul Special Pro include a 60's slim-taper neck with a hand applied smooth nitrocellulose lacquer finish, Alnico V Burstbucker Pro pickups, push/pull coil split function for each pickup on the volume pots, gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish, cream neck binding and pickup rings, and vintage gold top hat knobs.

Body: Solid Mahogany with a gloss nitrocellulose finish.

Neck: Mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard, 60’s slim taper, set-in, 24.75” scale length, 1.69” nut width, 12” radius, cream binding, 22 medium jumbo frets, white acrylic dot inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: Two BurstBucker PRO humbucking pickups, two tone/two volume knobs, three-way pickup selector, coil splitting volume knobs, Tun-O-Matic bridge/stop bar tailpiece, chrome Grover tuning keys.


Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent condition with a few tiny dings on the top of the body that can only be seen in the right reflection. There are very light surface scratches on the body. The neck is smooth and nice with no scratches or dings. The frets still have a ton of life left in them and the guitar feels and plays great.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10’s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
