Summary: In order to combat the popularity of the Gibson Les Paul in the increasingly “heavy” rock scene of the early seventies, Fender decided to drop its single-coil-only policy and develop its own twin-humbucker machine: the Telecaster Deluxe. Employing none other than Seth Lover, the man who had designed the original humbucker for Gibson, they launched the “wide-range” humbucker. This pickup has since gained a following for its unique tone. This 1977 Tele Deluxe is in great shape. It has recently been set up & inspected by our in-house luthier.

Body: Solid body, single cutaway with a nicely aged Mocha finish.

Neck: Maple neck with black dot inlays, 21 frets, 25.5” scale length, 1 9/16” nut width, 1970’s headstock, 3-bolt neck joint, bullet truss rod

Pickups/Hardware: Two Seth Lover designed Fender humbucker pickups, 2 volume knobs, 2 tone knobs, 3-way switch, original Fender tuning keys.

Cosmetics: This guitar has various nicks, dings, and scratches on the body (See Photos Please). The fretboard has wear throughout. It has wear that is consistent with a guitar from the ‘70s. The back of the neck is in great shape and the frets still have a ton of life left in them.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.

Modifications: The saddles have been replaced but the original saddles are in the case.

Weight: 8.095 lbs.

Case: This vintage Telecaster ships in the original hardshell case, fully insured and well packaged.
