2018 Taylor T3/B Black

Summary: This 2018 Taylor T3B has everything discerning guitarists love about the classic semi-hollowbody sound and applied signature Taylor design touches, led by proprietary pickups, to create an even more inspiring playing experience. Taylor's standard setup features high-definition humbuckers, with optional vintage alnicos that respond with extra warmth. A three-way switch covers full neck, neck/bridge, and full bridge configurations, while a coil-splitting application (pulling up the volume knob) transforms the humbuckers into single coil pickups. Roll the tone knob to boost the mids and pull it up to activate another level of control that dials in mellow warmth without giving up clarity. The Bigsby vibrato tailpiece is paired with a roller bridge to give players smooth pitch control that makes vibrato bends fun to explore. 

Body:  Layered Maple top, Layered Sapele back and sides in Ebony finish.

Neck: Sapele with a bound Ebony fingerboard,  24.85” scale length,  1.687” nut width, 21 frets.

Pickups/Hardware: Taylor Style 2 HD (high definition) humbuckers with coil splitting capability, Volume control push/pull for coil split, Tone control push/pull to activate second capacitor, Taylor Nickel tuning keys, Chrome roller style bridge with Bigsby Vibrato bridge, bone nut.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has very light surface scratches on the body. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has very light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable.
