Summary: This Martin 000-28 was made in 1954, has just been professionally restored with a neck reset, new bridge, re-fret and is now ready to be loved and played. It sounds beautiful with a tone that is 100% vintage Martin. It has some play-wear, finish touch up and crack repairs but all the repairs were done with the upmost care and precision. It is set up with 12 gauge strings and ships in its original hardshell case.

Body: It has a spruce top, Brazilian rosewood back and sides, multi-ply w/b/w binding and single ply tortoise pickguard.

Neck: It has a mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard, 1.685” nut width, 24.9” scale length, pearl dot inlays, volute and recently leveled frets with plenty of life left in them.

Hardware: It has Kluson Deluxe tuners, a new ebony bridge, bone saddle, tortoise dot bridge pins, original nut and tortoise pickguard.

Cosmetics: This Martin looks great with a fair amount of play-wear but is in 100% functional playing condition. The heel had a crack that has been repaired and touched up with finish, there are a few holes in the heel and body from strap buttons as well as an output jack hole on the bottom side that have been plugged and touched up. There was a crack on the treble side shoulder of the guitar that was repaired very well and is nearly invisible. The guitar has a fair amount of finish checking especially on the top, there are patches of finish missing around the sides and lots of pick-wear above the sound-hole and around the bottom edges of the sound-hole. The back of the neck has worn in an asymmetrical shape in the first position from all the playtime which is actually quite ergonomic. There is some overspray inside the soundhole which may have come from a previous repair. Overall, this guitar has its share of play-wear and repairs but it looks incredible and plays outstanding thanks to all the work that was put into it by a real expert in vintage restoration.

Playability: This guitar has just been fully restored and setup by an expert in vintage guitar repair. The neck angle is perfect, the action is low and comfortable, the saddle has plenty of height, it has been re-fretted so there is no wear on the frets and it sounds and plays phenomenally well. There are a fresh set of 12s on it and there isn't much more you could ask for in terms of tone and playability.

Weight: 4 lbs, 2.5 oz.

Case: This Martin comes with the original hardshell case with a changed handle and we will ship it professionally packed and fully insured!
