Summary: This Gibson Firebrand is in very good condition with a beautiful open grain mahogany finish and unique Gibson logo branded into the headstock. It has the original T Top humbuckers although one of the coils in the bridge pickup was rewound. It has just been setup and restrung by our in-house luthier and ships in an aftermarket vintage Aria Pro hardcase.

Body: It has a 3-piece mahogany body with open-grain finish, arm and belly contours and black pickguard.

Neck: The 3-piece mahogany neck has a volute, 24.75” ebony fingerboard, Firebranded logo, 1.675” nut width and pearl dots.

Pickups/Hardware: It has the original Gibson T-Top humbuckers, one of the coils on the bridge pickup was re-wound, nickel plated hardware, Grover tuners, tune-o-matic bridge and tailpiece, 3 way toggle, 2 volumes and 2 tones.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in very good shape but there are some pick scratches, buckle rash and various dents and dings throughout the guitar. As this was Gibsons’ budget model at the time, they likely used pieces of wood with blemishes which may explain the fair number of holes around the body that have been filled in with wood filler before the finish was applied. There is a hole in the back of the headstock, a bit of corrosion in the plating on the bridge and the frets are a bit flat, but other than that - it is in nice shape and it’s a fabulous guitar.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has just inspected, setup and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functioning, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are pretty flat from play, but it still plays beautifully up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots or choking out.

Weight: 8 lbs, 4.5 oz.

Case: This vintage Gibson ships in a nice old Aria Pro Les Paul case & we will ship it professionally packed and fully insured!
