Summary: From TaylorGuitars.com-

“With a solid Sitka spruce top and layered Indian rosewood back and sides, this Grand Auditorium guitar delivers a rich, nuanced tone profile punctuated by high-end sparkle and midrange punch. The patented Taylor neck and Venetian cutaway provide a comfortable playing experience across a broad range of musical styles, and with an Expression System 2 pickup and preamp highlighting the quality and depth of the guitar’s natural sound, the 214ce DLX is ready to perform in any environment. It’s appointed with white binding, Italian acrylic Small Diamond inlays, and a full-gloss body, and ships in a deluxe hardshell case.”

This particular Taylor is in excellent used condition, has just been set up and restrung by our in house luthier and ships in its original hardshell case.

Body: Grand Auditorium style body with a Venetian cutaway, Sitka spruce top, laminate rosewood back and sides, X-bracing, multi-ply w/b/w binding, pearloid rosette, gloss finish and one ply tortoise pickguard.

Neck: The Sapele mahogany neck has a satin finish, 1 11/16” nut width, ebony fretboard with small diamond inlays, 20 frets, Nubone nut and 25 ½” scale length.

Pickups/Hardware: The Expression System 2 captures more of a guitar’s dynamic properties using a breakthrough behind-the-saddle design. Like the original Expression System, the ES2 features the same volume and tone control knobs. The preamp is similar but with a slightly different gain structure. As a result it will be about 25 percent hotter, which is more in line with other pickups. This makes it plug-and-play friendly both for artists and live sound mixers. The ebony bridge has a Micarta saddle, the tuners are closed back and it has a strap button at the heel as well as an end pin.

Cosmetics: This Taylor is in immaculate shape and has no cracks, breaks, or visible flaws. There is only one very small ding on the end of the headstock but otherwise the guitar looks as it did when it left the factory.

Playability: Our in house luthier has just inspected, set up and restrung this guitar with a new set of 12s and it is playing beautifully with low action and a straight neck. The frets are in great shape with no grooves or divots.
