2005 Ibanez Artcore AG85-TDR w/HSC

Summary: This 2005 Ibanez Artcore AG85-TDR  features a mid-sized, full-hollow body design with a laminated figured bubinga top with ƒ holes and cream multi-binding on figured bubinga back and sides with a single Venetian cutaway mated to a set-in mahogany and maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with cream binding and abalone block position markers. Ibanez’ long-standing association with jazz guitar giants such as George Benson, Pat Metheny and John Scofield, Ibanez has been a constant pioneer in the world of hollow-body guitar building for more than three decades. Part of that esteemed legacy is due to the Artcore collection, which succeeded in smashing all preconceptions as to what a great hollow or semi-hollow-body guitar ought to be. The Artcore formula builds on equal parts luthiery know-how, daring design and a passion for warm, full-bodied tone. 

Body: Figured Bubinga top, back and sides in Transparent Red Gloss finish.

Neck: Maple/Mahogany with a bound Rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, 1.69” nut width, 22 frets, Abalone Artcore DX block inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: Ibanez Artrcore Humbucker pickups, Ibanez die-cast tuning keys w/ half-moon buttons,  Bigsby style tailpiece with ART-1 on a wooden base bridge, gold speed knobs, ivory plastic nut.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches and small indentations on the body. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
