Summary: The Fender Stratocaster is the quintessential electric guitar—a worldwide archetype; the basic form that leaps to mind at the very mention of the phrase electric guitar. Maybe that’s because it was so well designed to start with that it has existed largely unchanged for 60 years now. This 1979 Fender Stratocaster with an Antigua finish is in excellent vintage condition, easy to play, and it sounds fantastic.

Body: Antigua finish.

Neck: Maple with a Maple fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 1.616” nut width, 21 frets, black dot inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: Three original single coil pickups with black covers, Antigua pickguard, black plastics, “F” tuning keys, bullet style truss rod.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent condition. It has light surface scratches and small indentations throughout. The pickguard has regular wear. There is an odd yellow pattern on the back of the body (See Photos Please). The back plate has light scratches. The frets are low and show light wear. Overall, this guitar has light wear and plays great.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
