1997 Fender Jerry Donahue Hellecaster
This 1997 Fender Jerry Donahue Hellecaster features a '50s-style soft-V/round-cornered neck profile, Maple fingerboard, a customized mix of Seymour Duncan pickups, and useful and creative wiring mods. The stunning finish, coupled with the blue sparkle pickguard will ensure you stand out in the mix, on stage and in the studio.
Body: Basswood in a Saphhire Blue Transparent finish.
Neck: Maple with a Maple fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 1.65” nut width, 21 frets, pearloid dot inlays with Hellcasters inlay at the 12th fret.
Pickups/Hardware: Neck & Middle: Seymour Duncan APS-2 (Alnico II) single coils, Bridge: Seymour Duncan Tele-style Strat-sized pickup (middle tone pot becomes a 2-way switch that adds the neck pickup in the 2 and 4 positions (for all-on in those) with the "4" position having a further altered tone cap, all stock), blue sparkle pickguard, vintage style tuning keys, vintage style bridge, white plastic knobs, bone nut.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches on the body. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable.
