1972 Gibson Medallion Firebird Limited Edition Sunburst

Body: Mahogany body with Sunburst finish

Neck: Mahogany neck with Rosewood fingerboard, 12” radius, 25.5” scale length, 1 11/16” nut width, Pearl block inlays, 22 frets, pearl trapezoid inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: Original Gibson embossed Firebird pickup in the neck with a non-original Dimarzio super distortion in the bridge, original “banjo” style tuning keys, Maestro bridge and vibrola, volume and tone knobs, bone nut.

Modifications: Guitar has a non-original tail piece cover, changed bridge pickup with humbucker route.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in very good condition overall. It has light surface scratches on the top and the back of the body has some light buckle rash. The back of the neck is clean, and the original frets show light wear. There are no neck or heel repairs. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic. One of only 366 made in 1972 and 1973.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been set-up low and comfortable.

Weight: 8 lbs. 14 oz.

Case: This guitar ships with the original hardshell Gibson case with medallion badge, professionally packaged, and fully insured.
