Ibanez S521 S-Series Blackberry Burst

Ibanez's marvel of form and function, the S Series, continues to evolve for today's player. Cloaked in a dramatic burst finish, a jatoba fingerboard features jumbo frets. Lurking beneath the S Series' graceful 3-D shape is Meranti specifically chosen for S Series instruments. Light enough amaze in terms of comfort, heavy enough to provide the tone and sustain that players expect from the S Series. As the originators of the thin, fast neck, the Wizard III neck is yet another achievement in playability, providing the kind of comfort that translates to responsiveness and speed. Quantum pickups, along with 5-way switch, were chosen for the inspiring way they complement each other to create a wide pallet of tonal options that add fire, retain clarity, and improve sustain.

Neck: Maple with a Jatoba fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 1.69” nut width, 24 frets, dot inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: original Quantum pickups, tuning keys, bridge, knobs and nut.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches on the body. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable.
