2017 Martin Custom Shop 000 Size/Style 18 Long Scale FGL Left-Handed
Summary: This incredible instrument is from Martin’s Custom Shop in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. It is based on a 000-18 and has a longer scale of 25.4”. It is a 14 fret and has a “000/OM” Auditorium size body. The top is Sitka Spruce and the back and sides are Mahogany. The Ebony fingerboard has Old Style inlays and the face plate on the headstock is Wild Grain East Indian Rosewood. This guitar is incredibly light, sounds amazing, and has been setup by our technician with 12-gauge strings.
Body: Sitka Spruce top, Mahogany back/sides.
Neck: Mahogany with an Ebony fingerboard, 25.4” scale length, 1.75” nut width, 20frets/14 open frets, Old Style inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: Grover StaTite 18:1 ratio tuning keys, Old Style Boltaron rosette, black binding, Ebony bridge, black bridge pins, faux tortoise pickguard, OM bracing, black purfling.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent condition and shows very little signs of use. The pickguard has light pick wear. There is one very small spot on the back that has worn down slightly to a satin like finish from being played.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
