Maybach Lester 59

This Maybach Lester is an authentic interpretation of the legendary guitars from the pioneering days of the electric guitar in the 1950s. Manufactured by a dedicated team of European guitar makers, with Mahogany construction, its Flamed Maple, its nitrocellulose finish and its humbuckers from the German manufacturer Amber. The two handcrafted Amber Spirit of 59 Humbuckers, with their absolutely authentic vintage sound, have a fast response and vocal sound development create optimal tones for authentic blues and rock sounds.

Body: Mahogany with Flamed Maple top in Midnight Sunset finish.

Neck: Mahogany with a bound Indian Rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, 1.68” nut width, 22 frets, pearl block inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: Amber Spirit of 59 humbucker pickups, Grover tuning keys, Gotoh tune-o-matic bridge and stoptail tailpiece, Ibanez speed knobs, bone nut.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in good shape. It has light surface scratches on the body, as well as crazing, and small dents, as it was factory relic’d. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.

Modifications: Grover tuners installed.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable.
