1959 Gibson ES-335
Summary: This stunning 1959 Gibson ES-335 has simply the best PAF pickups, the classics people try and try to recreate. This superb 335 has a factory original ‘stinger’ painted on the back of the headstock, the classic long pickguard, no wire ABR-1 bridge, and 5 latch Lifton brown and pink hard case.
Body: Maple/poplar/maple back, sides, and top in Sunburst finish
Neck: Mahogany with a Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” scale length,1.67” nut width, 12th fret depth: 2.02”, 1st fret depth: .815”, 12th fret depth: .930, 22 frets, pearl dot inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: Original Gibson humbucker pickups with "Patent Applied For" decals (8.25 Neck-8.45 Bridge), and original wiring harness with 3-way toggle selector switch and volume/tone controls for each pickup, Kluson Keystone replacement tuning keys (originals included), tune-o-matic bridge with a stopbar tailpiece, Amber top hat knobs.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent shape. It has light surface scratches and small indentations on the body. The guitar has crazing present, consistent with a guitar it’s age The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show wear consistent with a guitar of this age. The back has light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
