1974 Fender Stratocaster
Summary: The Fender Stratocaster is the quintessential electric guitar—a worldwide archetype; the basic form that leaps to mind at the very mention of the phrase electric guitar. Maybe that’s because it was so well designed to start with that it has existed largely unchanged for 60 years now. This 1974 Fender Stratocaster is in excellent vintage condition, light, easy to play, and it sounds fantastic.
Body: Solid, double cutaway, finished in a gloss Olympic White.
Neck: Maple with a Maple fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 1.640” nut width, 21 frets, black dot inlays, bullet truss rod adjustment, enlarged headstock, two string trees, three-bolt construction.
Pickups/Hardware: Three original single coil pickups, Fender “F” logo tuning keys, 3-ply white pickguard, master volume/two tone controls/3-way pickup selector, 6-point tremolo system.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent condition. The Olympic White finish has aged beautifully. It has a few very small dings on the body and very light surface scratches (See Photos Please). The back of the neck is very clean, and the frets show a light amount of wear. The chrome hardware is still bright and shiny. Overall, this guitar is in great shape, and it plays and sounds fantastic.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable.
