1979 Fender Stratocaster
Summary: This 1979 Fender Stratocaster, in a rarer Wine finish, has some well earned charm. The quintessential electric guitar-a worldwide archetype; the basic form that leaps to mind at the very mention of the phrase electric guitar. Maybe that’s because it was so well designed to start with that it has existed largely unchanged for 60 years now. This guitar is a wonderful example from the late 70's.
Body: Ash in transparent Wine finish.
Neck: Maple with a Maple fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 1.62” nut width, 21 frets, black dot inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: Original Fender single coil pickups with black covers, black b/w/b pickguard, black plastic knobs, Fender F tuning keys, Fender diecast tremolo bridge with 6 individual diecast saddles, bullet style truss rod.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches on the body, along with various scuffs and mars. The back of the neck has some honest wear, but none that affects playability, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has light buckle rash, and the edges all have some strong finish wear (pictured). Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable.
