Summary: The roots of Saint Blues started growing in the late 1960's, when Led Zeppelin's tour brought them to Memphis. Jimmy Page walked into Mike Ladd's guitar shop, known for some of the best customization work in the country, and asked Mike Ladd and Tom Keckler to overhaul one of his guitars. Without the capital to keep going, they stopped production 1989. Interest in the line has never wavered. This fantastic instrument sports a high quality Swamp Ash Body with a Hard Rock Maple neck and fingerboard. The push/pull pots on the volume and tone controls allow for many combinations of tone.

Body: Bound Swamp Ash finished in a gloss sunburst.

Neck: Hard Rock Maple with a Maple fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 1.6875” nut width, black dot inlays, bone nut.

Pickups/Hardware: Two telecaster style single coil pickups, six individual saddles, master volume/master tone controls/ (push/pull pots on both knobs), three-way pickup selector, Deluxe vintage style tuning keys, cream colored pickguard.

Cosmetics: This guitar shows signs of use consistent with an instrument from the early 1980’s. There are dings and chips on the top and back of the body (See Photos Please). The back of the neck has a few dents near the 5th/7th frets. The frets are still in good shape. The hardware has tarnished a little.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10’s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
