1983 Gibson Futura
Summary: The Gibson Futura features a neck through body, and a Gibson Super Tune vibrato. A rare piece of Gibson history that sounds great.
Body: Mahogany body in Antique White finish
Neck: Mahogany with a ebony fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, 1.66”nut width, 22 frets, pearl dot inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: Black plastic humbuckers pickups, black 5 ply pickguard, , Gibson branded tuning keys, Gibson Super Tune bridge., gold hardware throughout, black speed knobs, 3 way switch.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent condition. It has light surface scratches and small indentations throughout. The pickguard has regular wear. The frets are in great shape and show light wear. There is a factory paint drip, under the clear coat that is hard to capture in photographs. There's light yellowing near the set neck joint. Overall, this guitar has light wear and plays great.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
