Summary: The Fender California Series guitars were produced by Fender in 1997 and 1998.The guitars were carved in California, shipped to Baja California Norte, Ensenada, Mexico for painting, then assembled in California. This Stratocaster has a beautiful Dakota Red finish. It has a vintage style tremolo system and vintage style tuning keys. It has three single coil pickups and a white 3-ply pickguard. It shows light signs of use and plays and sounds fantastic.

Body: Alder with a gloss Dakota Red finish.

Neck: Maple with a Rosewood fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 1.65” nut width, 21 frets, white dot inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: Three Fender single coil pickups, vintage style tuning keys/tremolo system, white 3-py pickguard, master volume/2x tone controls.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches and a small area on the edges of the body where someone touched up an area with probably nail polish. (See Photos Please) The pickguard has regular wear. The saddles have started to rust slightly. The back of the neck is in great shape and the frets show minimal wear.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
