2013 Fender American Special Stratocaster Fishman Fluence Pickups
Summary: Fender's American Special Stratocaster solid body electric guitar gives you popular Strat features. It all starts with an alder body for classic Strat spank, and it's all wrapped up in a great-looking gloss urethane finish. The Fender trademark maple neck feels great with its Modern “C” profile, and jumbo frets make for fast and precise fretwork. In the tone department, it’s been upgraded to a trio of Fishman Fluence single-coils, while a vintage-style trem deals with the whammy action.
Body: Alder with a gloss polyurethane finish.
Neck: Maple with a Maple fingerboard, modern “C” shape, 25.5” scale length, 1.685” nut width, synthetic bone nut, 22 jumbo frets, black dot inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: 3 Fishman Fluence single coil pickups, push/pull on both tone controls for Multi-Voice settings (Voice 1: Vintage, Voice 2: Hot Texas), master volume control, five-way pickup selector, six-saddle synchronized tremolo system, nickel/chrome hardware, closed gear Fender tuning machines, two string trees.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent condition and shows very little signs of use. There are tiny dents on the top of the body that can only be seen in a reflection. There is one small scuff on the back of the body. The back of the neck is smooth and in great shape. The frets are in great shape and show very little signs of use.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10’s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
Modifications: The pickups have been upgraded to the Fishman Fluence single coils.
