2019 Fender American Performer Mustang
Summary: Born in Corona, California, the 24”-scale American Performer Mustang delivers the exceptional tone and feel you expect from an authentic Fender, along with a unique feel and new player-oriented features that make it even more inspiring to play. The Mustang's chirp, spank, warble, and howl come across loud and clear in the Fender American Performer, thanks to a pair of increased-output Yosemite Alnico single-coils and a simplified 3-way toggle. These feed into a Fender Greasebucket tone circuit to smooth out treble without reducing output or increasing bass.
Body: Alder finished in a gloss urethane 3-tone sunburst.
Neck: Maple with a Rosewood fingerboard, modern “C” shape, 24” scale length, 1.685” nut width, 22 jumbo frets, white dot inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: Two Yosemite single coil Mustang pickups, Master Volume, Master Tone, 3-Position Toggle: Position 1. Bridge Pickup, Position 2. Bridge And Neck Pickups, Position 3. Neck Pickup, American Performer Mustang Bridge and Tremolo, black plastic knobs.
Cosmetics: This guitar shows very little signs of use. There are light surface scratches on the body. The neck is clean, and the frets are in great shape. The pickguard has light pick wear.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10’s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
