Summary: This 1985 Fender Contemporary HSS Stratocaster has all the promise of a new era in Strat dominance - robust tremolo system, humbucking bridge pickup, with coil splitting capabilities. All the modern appointments in a performance ready Super Strat.

 

Body: Basswood in Emerald Mist finish.


Neck: Maple with a Rosewood fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 1.73” nut width, 22 frets,  pearl dot inlays. 

Pickups/Hardware: 2 single-coil pickups and 1 humbucking pickup, a 5-position selector switch, a coil-splitting option for the humbucker, 1 volume control, 1 TBX control, die tuning keys, System III tremolo bridge, replacement nut (original included).

 

Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent shape. It has light surface scratches and small indentations on the body. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has light surface wear. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.

 

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
