1966 Vega Pro II Tenor Banjo
Summary: This 1966 Vega Pro II Tenor Banjo is a wonderfully sweet and full sounding instrument, and a great way to get into the vintage American sound. Currently in GDAE, it’s wonderfully resonant and ready for your next round.
Body: Mahogany back with tubaphone style tone ring with slits.
Neck: Maple/Mahogany with an ebony fingerboard, 23” scale length, 1.16” nut width, 19 frets, pearl inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: Tubaphone style tone ring with slits, K&K pickup, planetary tuning keys, wooden bridge, bone nut.
Cosmetics: This banjo is in great shape. It has light surface scratches and small indentations on the body. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has light buckle rash. Overall, this banjo plays very well and sounds fantastic.
Playability: Our in-house tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
