Summary: This 1979 Gibson Firebrand "The Paul" Les Paul Standard features  a Walnut body and two exposed humbuckers which deliver a very warm and responsive tone. Sweet contours, thin nitro lacquer and lighter weight help offer a sweet warmth in sound you’ll appreciate. 

 

Body: Walnut in Natural finish.


Neck: Walnut with a Ebony fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, 1.67” nut width,  22 frets,  white dot inlays.

 

Pickups/Hardware: T-Top humbucking pickups, Grover tuning keys, tune-o-matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece, speed knobs.

 

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches and small indentations on the body. The back of the neck has wear (pictured), and the frets show minimal wear. The back has some buckle rash (pictured).. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.

 

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
