Summary: Introduced as a replacement for the ES-345, the Gibson ES-347 TD was produced between 1978 and 1991. This semi-hollow body has coil-tapping pickups and a replacement Schaller tailpiece, originally a TP-6 with fine tuners. Tuning stability is provided by the Gibson Deluxe tulip tuning keys. The nut, originally brass, has been replaced and this guitar has also had a refret. This guitar plays very well and ships in a Guild hard-shell case.

Body: Maple laminate top/back/sides.

Neck: 3-piece Maple with an Ebony fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, 1.679” nut width, 22 frets, mother of pearl block inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: Two Gibson humbuckers, Gibson tulip tuning keys, black pickguard, 2x volume/2x tone controls/3-way pickup selector/coil tapping toggle, Schaller tunomatic bridge/ stop bar tailpiece, replacement nut.

Cosmetics: This guitar has light surface scratches throughout. The top and back of the body has some deeper scuffs that do not go into the finish. It also has small indentations in the body that can be seen in a reflection. Some small areas have started to bubble and flake off. More of this can be seen under a black light. The finish on the neck has worn slightly to a lighter brown color. This guitar has no repaired cracks or other repairs. The professional refret was done very well. Overall this guitar is in great shape and it plays and sounds fantastic.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.

Modifications: Replace bridge/tailpiece, replacement nut. This guitar has had a professional refret.
