1986 Fender American Vintage '57 Reissue Stratocaster
Summary: One of the most popular instruments in history is the Fender Stratocaster and 1957 was a benchmark year for this iconic guitar. This 1986 American Vintage 1957 Reissue Stratocaster has been modified. A Kahler tailpiece and locking nut have been added, however, the locking nut has been removed and the tailpiece has been locked down. It comes equipped with two Lace Sensor single coil pickups and a Hot Rails humbucker in the bridge position. There is a push/pull pot on the top tone knob to split the humbucker. It has checking in the nitro finish, and it plays and sounds fantastic.
Body: Solid, double cutaway finished in a nitro Lake Placid Blue.
Neck: Maple with a Maple fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 1.650” nut width, black dot inlays, 21 frets, .868 at the 12th fret/.844 at the 1st fret.
Pickups/Hardware: Two Lace Sensor pickups in the neck/middle positions, Hot Rails humbucker in the bridge position, vintage style tuning keys, Kahler tremolo system (locked down/no tremolo arm), white single ply pickguard, master volume/two tone controls/5-way pickup selector.
Cosmetics: This guitar has tons of wear on the back of the neck/fingerboard (See Photos Please). The pickguard has regular wear. The finish has tons of beautiful finish checking. It has various nick, dings, and scratches on the body. Overall, this guitar has some cosmetic issues and has been modified but it plays and sounds fantastic.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
Modifications: A Kahler tailpiece/locking nut has been installed and the locking nut has been removed and the tailpiece has been locked down. Two Lace Sensor single coils and a Hot Rails humbucker have been installed. The tremolo arm for the Kahler is not included.
