Summary: The RG140 is one of only a few RG models produced with a 22-fret neck. It is also among a small number of RG guitars with an HSS pickup configuration. It has the rounded-edged body style which distinguishes it from the more sharp-edged modern RG body. The RG140 features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include Ibanez pickups with a humbucker at the bridge and single-coils at the neck and middle positions and a Powerocker tremolo bridge.

Body: Basswood with a gloss Red finish.

Neck: Maple with a Rosewood fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 22 frets, 1.65” nut width, small pearl dot inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: Two Ibanez single-coil pickups/one Ibanez humbucker (bridge position), Ibanez closed gear tuning keys, black pickguard, master volume/master tone controls/5-way pickup selector, Powerocker tremolo system.

Cosmetics: This guitar has light surface scratches throughout. The pickguard has regular wear. The back of the neck has a few small indentations. The frets are in great shape. The headstock has a couple chips in the finish. Overall, this guitar is in great shape and it plays and sounds fantastic.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
