Summary: Fender started producing instruments in Japan in 1982. These have become some of the most sought-after instruments from Fender during this time. The ST-62 is a reissue of a 1962 Stratocaster. It has vintage style tuning keys, a 3-ply tortoise pickguard, and three vintage style single coil pickups.

Body: Alder with a gloss black finish.

Neck: Maple with a Rosewood fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 1.650” nut width, white dot inlays, 21 frets.

Pickups/Hardware: Vintage style tuning keys, three Fender single coil pickups, master volume/two tone controls/5-way pickup selector, 3-ply tortoise pickguard, six-saddle bridge.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in good condition. There are a few nicks, dings, and scratches on the body (See Photos Please). The screws for the pickguard and the saddles have started to rust a bit. The back of the neck is in great shape and the frets still have a ton of life left. The white knobs and pickup covers have darkened a bit as well. Overall, this guitar has some cosmetic issues, but it plays and sounds amazing.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.

Modifications: The pickguard may have been changed. The original was either a white or black pickguard.

Weight: 7.275 lbs.

Case: This guitar ships in a hard-shell, professionally packaged, and fully insured.
