Summary: This 1997 Fender Jag-Stang, crafted in Japan in the initial run, is a hybrid of the traditional Jaguar and Mustang models. The Jag-Stang featured the short 24" scale length of a Mustang paired with a traditional Jaguar tremolo system and a body shape that combined elements of both models. Other features include a vintage 7.25" radius neck and humbucking pickup in the bridge, fulfilling the wishes of its designer, Kurt Cobain of Nirvana. Body:  Basswood in Sonic Blue finish.


Neck:  Maple with a Rosewood fingerboard, 24” scale length, 1.56” nut width, 22 frets, white dot inlays.

 

Pickups/Hardware: Vintage-Style Single-Coil Jaguar pickup in the neck, Standard Humbucking pickup in the bridge, vintage style tuning keys, 6-Saddle Vintage-Style Adjustable bridge with “Floating” Tremolo Tailpiece, Black Plastic knobs,  synthetic bone nut.

 

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches and small indentations on the body. There multiple scraps and chips on the edges and body (pictured).The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.


Modifications: 


Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets
