Summary: This 1996 Taylor 810 pairs a Sitka Spruce top and Indian Rosewood for the sides, back and head plate. These brings tone-enhancing refinements to the traditional steel-string Dreadnought, blending driving low-end power with a vibrant upper register  for a turbo-charged flatpicking machine. Bluegrassers will love the strong, crisp top-end punch in any picking circle, with robust projection across the entire tonal spectrum. Premium appointments include maple binding and back strip, rosewood top edge trim, rosewood pickguard, mother-of-pearl Element fretboard inlay, and smoky ebony fretboard.

 

Body:  Sitka Spruce top and Indian Rosewood back and sides in a Natural finish.


Neck: Mahogany with a bound Ebony fingerboard, 25.5” scale length 1.69” nut width, 20 frets,  mother-of-pearl Element inlays.

 Pickups/Hardware: Aftermarket under the saddle pickup,  gold Grover Rotomatic tuning keys,  Ebony bridge.

 

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. The body has very little wear for an instrument of its age. The back of the neck is clean, with only a small scratch that does not affect playability, and the frets show minimal wear. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.

 

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
