1997 Gibson All American II Wine Red
Summary: This 1997 Gibson All American II was part of of short lived series of guitars that were made in Nashville from 1996-1998! This instrument has two single coil pickups, 24 frets & a very wonderful & unique tone. It was inspired by the original Melody Maker, but differed from it in having chrome tuners, no pickguard, controls rear-mounted in the traditional Gibson solid-body style, and a bridge/vibrola unit.
Body: Mahogany in Wine Red finish.
Neck: Mahogany with a Rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” scale length 1.69” nut width, 24 frets, mother of pearl inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: 2 high output single coil pickups, 3-way switch, one volume knob & one tone knob, Chrome hardware, tremolo system.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent shape. It has light surface scratches and small indentations on the body and the edges show wear. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
