Summary: 1999 Guild DeArmond Starfire Special in Red with exceptional sounding pickups and playability. Features include a semi-hollow double-bound maple body, two DeArmond pickups, a vibrato tailpiece and super comfortable and beautifully rounded maple neck. The pickups sound awesome with the semi hollow body design and have a nice natural ringing sustain.



Body: Double-bound single cutaway body with maple top, back and sides in sunburst finish


Neck: Maple with a Rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, 1 11/16” nut width, 20 frets, pearl dot inlays.


Pickups/Hardware: Two DeArmond 2K single coil with adjustable pole pieces, Rotomatic-style diecast chrome tuning keys, DeArmond Roll-o-Matic with DeArmond Vibro tailpiece.


Cosmetics: This guitar is great shape. It has light surface scratches on the body. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The face of the headstock is showing light finish checking and a small amount of wear around the edges. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.


Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
