1998 Ted Megus Custom Apollo Archtop
This custom 1998 Ted Megus Apollo archtop features an X-braced, hand-carved, aged spruce top, highly flamed maple back with matching sides, anda figured-maple neck, with graphite reinforcement and adjustable truss rod. This guitar is flat out amazing, just a tremendous instrument with a serious vibe.
Body: Sitka top, high grade quilted maple back and sides in gloss natural finish.
Neck: Maple with a Ebony fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 1.72” nut width, 21 frets, Abalone inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: Kent Armstrong pickup, gold Schaller tuning machines with Ebony buttons,solid Ebony bridge, pickguard, and front & back peghead overlays, plastic bridge, precision machined brass tailpiece construction with Ebony overlay, 24K gold-plated metal parts, handmade knurled brass height adjusters on bridge, bone nut.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches on the body. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable.
