Summary: This 2003 Martin D-35 occupies a lofty perch in the pantheon of Martin dreadnoughts.With a top of select spruce and its iconic East Indian rosewood three-piece back, this legendary Martin tonewood combination delivers the robust bass response and powerful projection that makes it perfect for both stage and studio. The bound ebony fretboard feels amazing, and responds beautifully to flat-picking or finger-style playing. Tastefully embellished with elegant appointments, this Martin D-35 incorporates incredible tone, playability, and looks into one standard-setting tool.


Body: Sitka spruce top with Rosewood back and sides.

Neck: Mahogany with a Ebony fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 1 3/4” nut width, 20 frets, pearl dot inlays.


Hardware: Chrome enclosed tuning keys, Ebony bridge, bone nut.


Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches and small indentations on the body. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.


Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
