Summary: The Gibson ES-339 is a modern classic designed for those seeking the tone and look of an ES-335, but desire a slightly smaller, lighter instrument. It has a pearloid dot inlay rosewood fingerboard on a hand-rolled Rounded "C" mahogany neck. The 57 / 57 Classic + humbuckers paired with Gibson’s hand-wired tone circuit showcases the versatile Gibson ES tone. Tuning stability and precise intonation are provided by the Grover Rotomatic tuners with Kidney buttons paired with a light-weight aluminum ABR-1 bridge and stop bar tailpiece. The neck on this guitar had a break and has been repaired.


Body: 3-ply Maple/Poplar/Maple, bound on the top and back.

Neck: Mahogany with a bound Rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, 1.695” nut width, 22 medium jumbo frets, pearl dot inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: Two ’57 Classic humbuckers, 2x volume/2xtone controls/ 3-way pickup selector, ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge/stop bar tailpiece, Gibson Deluxe keystone style tuning keys, black pickguard/pickup rings.

Cosmetics: This guitar has had a neck break and has been repaired. It has light surface scratches throughout and some small indentations. The back has worn slightly to a satin like finish. The back of the neck has a few very small indentations. The pickguard has regular wear. The frets are still in great shape.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.

Modifications: The neck on this guitar has been repaired.
