2008 Gibson Songwriter Deluxe 12 String
Summary: This highly acclaimed Songwriter Deluxe 12 string has a Sitka spruce top paired with 1930’s top bracing pattern and rosewood back and sides allowing for powerful projection and clarity. It comes equipped with the easy plug and play LR Baggs VTC electronics system, perfect for reproducing the unparalleled tonal range of a Gibson.
Body: Sitka Spruce top with Rosewood back and sides finished in a gloss nitrocellulose Antique natural.
Neck: Mahogany with a Rosewood fingerboard, round profile, 25.5” scale length, 1.875” nut width, 20 standard frets, 12” radius, Mother-of-pearl Parallelogram inlays, bone nut, limited truss rod.
Pickups/Hardware: Songwriter 12 string Bone bridge, gold hardware, mini Grover tuning machines, Custom Line pickguard, LR Baggs Element VTC pickup with volume/tone controls.
Cosmetics: This guitar has pick wear on the pickguard. There is a very small dent on the edge of the body where your strumming arm would go. There are a few light surface scratches on the back of the body. Overall, this guitar is in great condition and plays and sounds amazing. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets are still in excellent condition.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this guitar with a new set of 12’s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
