2011 Fender American Deluxe Telecaster Butterscotch Blonde (Partscaster)
This guitar is a marriage of a Fender American Performer neck and an American Deluxe body. With an HSH set up, locking tuners, 6 saddle bridge, and a 5-way switch, this instrument is well equipped for any gig. The neck pickup (Seth Lover HB59) responds very well to the tone and volume controls, it’s easy to find a mellow jazz sound or a heavy rhythm tone. The bridge (Seymour Duncan Hot Rails) is hot and bright without being shrill or piercing. The middle pickup, a Lindy Fralin Blues Special, is the icing on the cake: The 2 & 4 positions sound like a beefier strat, while the middle pickup alone gives you Jerry tone for days. If you want the standard Fender sound we all know and love, this is not the guitar for you. But for the player who wants versatility, who wants to bring one guitar to the gig that has all the sounds: Look no further, you’ve found your next guitar.
