Summary: This 2013 Gibson J-45 Custom Rosewood is an incredibly resonant acoustic with top notch appointments and an undeniably classic look. A responsive low end that naturally extends through a slightly subdued midrange. The top end is very clean and articulate with a warm chime. Brilliant abalone inlays throughout the body, neck, and headstock accent a wonderfully responsive guitar with an easy playing neck and a sound beyond classic.  

 

Body: Sitka spruce top with Indian Rosewood back and sides.


Neck: Mahogany with a bound Rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, 1.75” nut width,  20 frets, abalone split diamond inlays & abalone headstock inlay.

 

Pickups/Hardware: L.R. Baggs Element pickup system with soundhole volume control, Grover Rotomatic tuning keys, rosewood bridge with compensated tusq saddle and custom abalone inlays, tortoise teardrop pickguard, bone nut. 

Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent shape. It has light surface scratches and small indentations on the body. The back of the neck has light surface scratches, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.

 

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
