2017 Gibson Custom Shop Flying V Custom
Summary: As part of a very limited run of only 200 instruments for 2017, the Gibson Custom Shop Flying V Custom electric guitar won't be available for long. Gibson has taken the iconic Flying V platform and given it a distinctive look, Custom Shop appointments, and 490R/498T humbucking pickups for exceptional tone. The combination of ebony finish, rolled fretboard binding, and gold hardware sets this Flying V apart from the rest. CTS control pots, a Switchcraft toggle switch, and a hand-wired harness are ready for a lifetime of reliable performance.
Body: Mahogany with an Ebony finish, bound top.
Neck: Mahogany with a bound Richlite fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, 1 11/16” nut width, 22 frets, pearl block inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: 490R/498T humbucking pickups, Grover tuning key, gold hardware, tunomatic bridge, string through the body, diamond jack plate, black pickguard, gold arrow tailpiece.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent condition and shows very little signs of use. It has light surface scratches and some light pick wear on the pickguard.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
