2018 Gibson Memphis ES-339 VOS
Summary: The Gibson Memphis ES-339 semi-hollowbody electric guitar, introduced in 2007, gives you the legendary sound, playability, and versatility of Gibson's larger ES Series guitars like the ever-popular ES-335 in a smaller body size that's ideal for guitarists used to solidbody instruments. This ES-339 VOS has a body that's comprised of a slightly arched three-ply maple/poplar/maple top and back with yellowed single-ply cream binding and a solid maple center block that reduces feedback and enhances sustain. Fitted with a pair of Memphis Historic Spec humbuckers and a fast mahogany neck topped with a rosewood fingerboard, the ES-339 lends itself to just about any musical style. It features retro aged-nickel hardware, while modern updates include the ABR-1 bridge with its titanium saddles, the hand wired control assembly, and Grover "milk bottle" Rotomatic tuners in nickel finish.
Body: Yellowed binding, Laminated Maple/Poplar/Maple with an Olive Drab finish.
Neck: Mahogany with a bound Rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, rounded “C” profile, 1.669” nut width, 22 frets, pearl block inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: Two Memphis Historic humbuckers, Grover Rotomatic tuning keys, Bigsby tailpiece/ABR-1 bridge, 2x volume/2x tone controls/3-way pickup selector, black pickguard.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches throughout and a few small indentations here and there. The back of the body has light surface scratches. The hardware is aged. The back of the neck is in great shape and the frets show minimal wear.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
