2018 Gretsch G5220
Summary: Featuring a chambered mahogany body with a laminated maple top, the G5220 produces a rich, full tone that is ideal for a variety of genres, including rock, jazz, and blues. It also has a mahogany neck with a black walnut fingerboard that is comfortable and playable. And with a pair of Black Top Broad’Tron pickups, the G5220 gives you classic Gretsch tones.
Body: Mahogany with a Maple top, gloss metallic Dark Cherry finish.
Neck: Mahogany with a Black Walnut fingerboard, 24.6” scale length, 1.6875” nut width, 12” radius, 22 frets, pearl block inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: Two Black Top Broad’Tron humbucking pickups, chrome closed gear tuning keys, silver pickguard, Anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge with V-Stoptail tailpiece, 1 x master volume, 2 x volume (neck/bridge), 1 x master tone, 3-way pickup selector.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in great condition. It has a couple tiny dings on the back of the neck. It has light surface scratches and very light buckle rash on the back that can be seen in a reflection. The pickguard has regular wear, and the frets show minimal wear.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
