2018 Gretsch G6228FM Players Edition BT
Summary: The Gretsch G6228FM Players Edition Jet BT Single-Cut with V-Stoptail and a Flame Maple top comes equipped with Gretsch Broad'Tron BT65 pickups. Designed by the famed Tim Shaw, the BT65 captures the guitar's sonic palette and reproduces powerful mids, extended lows and an exceptionally clear, yet smooth high-end. The Jet BT features a lowered neck set that greatly improves fret-hand mobility while also giving the picking hand a closer approach, increasing comfort and accuracy. This Gretsch also comes with the original hard-shell case.
Body: Chambered Mahogany with a laminated flame Maple top.
Neck: Mahogany with an Ebony fingerboard, 24.6” scale length, 1.6875” nut width, 12” radius, 22 frets, pearloid big block inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: Two Broad’Tron BT65 pickups, anchored adjusto-matic bridge/V-stoptail tailpiece, Gretsch Gotoh tuning keys, Volume 1. (Neck Pickup), Volume 2. (Bridge Pickup), Master Volume, Master Tone, 3-Position Toggle: Position 1. Bridge Pickup, Position 2. Bridge And Neck Pickups, Position 3. Neck Pickup, gold pickguard, chrome hardware.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent condition with little signs of use. There are very light surface scratches. There is one very small chip in the finish on the top edge of the headstock.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
