2018 Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition Special Mod 1955 Joe Bonamassa Telecaster
This 2018 Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition Special Mod 1955 Joe Bonamassa Telecaster, also known as the “white guard” Tele is an all-time classic with features including a single-ply white pickguard, smooth barrel steel bridge saddles, staggered bridge pickup pole pieces and a chunky neck profile. In this faithful recreation, the Fender Custom Shop has captured the tone, playability, look, and feel of this archetypal model. This guitar plays and sounds great and feels amazing right when you pick it up.
Body: 52' tele style, 1 piece ash, relicd three tone sunburst finish.
Neck: Maple 5/4 quarter sawn, 57' style soft "V" shape, 50’s style truss rod, 21 frets, 4 bolt, Micarta black dot inlays, 7.25” radius, 25.5” scale length, 1.650” nut width, width at 1st fret is .935” and at the 12th fret it is .980”.
Pickups/Hardware: Two hand wound single coil pickups (Custom Shop 55'/56' Tele in the neck, Custom Shop 51' Nocaster in the bridge), chrome/nickel tuning keys, single ply white parchment pickguard, 3-Saddle Vintage Style Tele with Barrel Steel Saddles, 3-position blade pickup selector, one volume/one tone knob (52' knurled chrome). This guitar is factory wired with the 50's broacaster blend wiring. Bridge position is bridge pickup and the "tone knob" blends in the neck pickup. Middle position is neck pickup only and the tone knob does nothing, Neck position is neck pickup with the tone roll off "dark circuit" and the tone knob does nothing.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent condition, and it has been beautifully relicd. This guitar shows natural wear and tear of years of heavy use, nicks, scratches, worn finish, rusty hardware, and aged plastic parts.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10’s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
