2018 PRS Silver Sky Black Onyx

This 2018 PRS Silver Sky in Black Onyx is a vintage-inspired guitar boasting a familiar shape with an eye-catching contrasting tone in its cutaway scoop. Its neck carve, scale length, and fingerboard radius were modeled after John Mayer’s early-'60s instruments; with a modified PRS-style headstock and locking tuners that propel it firmly into the twenty-first century. Its sweet-sounding single-coil pickups will churn out glassy, musical tones with excellent note definition. 

Body: Alder in Black Onyx finish.

Neck: Maple with a Rosewood fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 1.65” nut width, 22 frets, small birds inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: PRS 635JM single-coil pickups, locking vintage style tuning keys, vintage style tremolo bridge, white plastic knobs, bone nut.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches on the body. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable.
