2019 Gibson ES-339 Cherry
Summary: The Gibson ES-339 is a modern classic designed for those seeking the tone and look of an ES-335, but desire a slightly smaller, lighter instrument. The pearloid dot inlay rosewood fingerboard on a hand-rolled Rounded "C" mahogany neck remind players where it all started. The 57 / 57 Classic + humbuckers paired with our hand-wired tone circuit showcases the versatile Gibson ES tone that players have craved for over 60 years. Tuning stability and precise intonation are provided by the Grover Rotomatic tuners with Kidney buttons paired with light-weight Aluminum ABR-1 bridge and Stop bar tailpiece.
Body: Single-ply cream bound, 3-ply Maple/Poplar/Maple top and back with a spruce center block, spruce bracing, gloss nitrocellulose cherry finish
Neck: Mahogany, rounded “C”, 24.75” scale length, 1.7” nut width, 12” radius, rosewood fingerboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, graphtech nut, acrylic pearloid inlays,
Pickups/Hardware: 57 classic humbucker in the neck and a 57+ humbucker in the bridge, ABR-1 Tun-O-Matic bridge, aluminum stopbar, Grover Rotomatic kidney tuning keys, five-ply black pickguard, cream switch tip, two tone/two volume knobs, three way pickup selector.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent condition. There is pick wear on the pickguard. There is one tiny ding on the top of the headstock and on the back of the neck just below the low “E” tuning key.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
Modifications: Replacement volume/tone knobs.
