Summary: The PRS Silver Sky was designed by Paul Reed Smith and built to John Mayer's specifications. This vintage-inspired guitar boasts a familiar shape with an eye-catching contrasting tone in its cutaway scoop. Its neck carve, scale length, and fingerboard radius were modeled after John's early-'60s instruments; however, a modified PRS-style headstock and locking tuners were added. Beyond that, the Silver Sky includes a bone nut, molded metal jack plate, retooled knobs, custom fret-wire, and PRS's double-action truss rod.

Body: Alder with a gloss gold finish.

Neck: Maple with a Rosewood fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 1.656” nut width, 7.25” radius, 635JM neck profile, 22 frets, “Birds” inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: Three PRS 635JM Single-coil pickups, steel tremolo tailpiece, vintage style locking tuners, 1 x master volume, 2 x tone, 5-way pickup selector, bone nut, white pickguard.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. There is a tiny ding near the input jack and a light surface scratch on the back of the body. The back of the neck is clean and the frets show light wear.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.

Weight: 7.2 lbs.

Case: This guitar ships in the original PRS gig bag, professionally packaged, and fully insured.
