2020 Gibson Les Paul Classic
Summary: Strap on the Gibson Les Paul Classic, and you’ll experience iconic tone and uncompromising playability. A time-tested combination of maple and mahogany serves up the tone that’s fueled a million rock anthems, while Burstbucker pickups inject your playing with loads of midrange muscle and sizzling overtones. You also get coil tapping, phase reversal, and pure bypass options for an endless variety of tonal textures. As for playing comfort, this Les Paul feels as amazing as it sounds, thanks to a SlimTaper neck and easy-playing rosewood fingerboard. The Les Paul Classic includes a self-lubricating Graph Tech nut, Tune-o-matic bridge, vintage-style Grover Rotomatic tuners, and gold top hat knobs.
Body: Mahogany with maple top, 9-hole weight relieved, ebony nitrocellulose finish.
Neck: (SlimTaper) mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, 24.75” scale length, 1.695” nut width, GraphTech nut.
Pickups/Hardware: Two Burstbucker (61R & 61T) pickups, ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge with Stopbar tailpiece, 2x Volume/2x Tone controls (Push/Pull on every pot), three-way pickup selector, Grover tuning keys.
Cosmetics: There are very light surface scratches only seen in a reflection on the body. The plastic is still on the pickguard and the frets are in excellent shape. Overall, this guitar is in great shape and sounds fantastic.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10’s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
