Summary: Get a true American original with the Gibson Custom 1959 ES-335 Reissue. Introduced in '58 as Gibson's first semi-hollowbody electric guitar, the ES-335 has continued to win over legions of devoted players for 60-plus years. Featuring a beautifully resonant maple/poplar/maple body, solid mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard, and a pair of Custombucker Alnico III pickups, this vintage instrument puts out a one-of-a-kind tone that is ideal for jazz and blues but can translate easily into rock as well.

Body: (Semi-hollow) Maple/Poplar/Maple in a Vintage Burst nitrocellulose finish.

Neck: Solid Mahogany with a Rosewood fingerboard, authentic ’59 medium “C” shape, 24.75” scale length, 1.6875” nut width, 22 frets, nylon nut.

Pickups/Hardware: Custombucker Alnico III humbuckers, ABR-1 lightweight aluminum bridge/stopbar tailpiece, Kluson Waffleback with pearloid tip tuning keys, two volume/two tone controls, three-way pickup selector.

Cosmetics: This guitar has an indented scratch that does not go through the finish on the back of the body (about an inch long). It can only be seen in a reflection and very hard to photograph. The pickguard has light pick wear. The back of the neck is in great shape along with the frets. Overall, this guitar is in excellent condition, shows little signs of use, and plays and sounds fantastic.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10’s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.

Weight: 8.195 lbs.

Case: This guitar ships in the original hardshell case with the Certificate of Authenticity, professionally packaged, and fully insured.
